If
I wish I had a magic key
A problem-solving one
Then I would open up the lock
And let solutions come
I often long I knew the tongue
That only God can speak
Then I would say that simple word
Who gives the peace we seek
I’d break the spell of sin of man
And crush the suffering
Replace it with a butterfly
And pretty birds that sing
But I don’t have that key, it seems
And I don’t know the tongue
And I can’t break the spell of sin
But Jesus did, how come?
A problem-solving one
Then I would open up the lock
And let solutions come
I often long I knew the tongue
That only God can speak
Then I would say that simple word
Who gives the peace we seek
I’d break the spell of sin of man
And crush the suffering
Replace it with a butterfly
And pretty birds that sing
But I don’t have that key, it seems
And I don’t know the tongue
And I can’t break the spell of sin
But Jesus did, how come?
